As early as I can remember, I've always been captivated by the magic of storytelling. I loved spending hours getting lost in a good book, being transported to a different time and place as the plot unfolded.

Fun Fact: I've actually cried when my favorite character died in a story. I was upset for days!

My family is the biggest source of inspiration for my children's books. My dream is to leave a legacy that my children can share that encompasses their history.
While rediscovering myself as a Mom, I found the courage to publish my own tales. Teneil is passionate about helping children understand complex issues and teaching them about other cultures through her children's picture books. ​
Born and raised in the twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, Teneil now resides in Maryland with her husband and three children.
